What it is:
Preschool Marketplace is a one-stop webpage to find reduced-cost preschools near you. Preschool Marketplace provides information about preschool programs all in one place such as contact information, location, the hours of a program, if they provide transportation, and other information that helps you make the best decision for your child and family
Why it’s important:
There are numerous organizations and departments that offer free and reduced-cost preschool but the system is often confusing for families seeking to enroll a child. ELM is convening partner programs to coordinate efforts and offer a one-stop webpage that offers information on all partner programs.
How it works:
- Our online database contains information on preschool providers who receive funds from one or more of our partners.
- Families can use an interactive map to search for preschools based on their home or work address.
- Families can enroll by contacting the preschool provider or partner program.
Partners:
Albina Head Start, Mt Hood Community College Head Start, Neighborhood House, Portland Public Schools, Preschool For All, Preschool Promise, 211Info, and Multnomah County SUN Service System
What’s next:
Participating partners are continuously working to streamline the preschool search and enrollment process.
