Preschool Enrollment Open for 2023-2024

Preschool Marketplace

Preschool Marketplace provides information about preschool programs all in one place such as contact information, location, the hours of a program, if they provide transportation, and other information that helps you make the best decision for your child and family.

How it Works

  • Our online database contains information on preschool providers who receive funds from one or more of our partners.
  • Families can use an interactive map to search for preschools based on their home or work address.
  • Families can enroll by contacting the preschool provider or partner program.

Our Partners

Albina Head Start, Mt Hood Community College Head Start, Neighborhood House, Portland Public Schools, Preschool For All, Preschool Promise, 211Info, and Multnomah County SUN Service System

Annie Mellan

Welcoming Annie Mellan to our Team

Annie Mellan has recently joined the Early Learning Multnomah Hub team at United Way of the Columbia-Willamette as Project Administrator. Annie provides organizational and administrative support for ELM initiatives including Preschool Promise and Preschool Marketplace, as well as supporting United Way in their partnership with Albina Rockwood Promise Neighborhood Initiative. Annie brings skills in non-profit administration as well as a passion for equity in education, including experience in the classroom.

Why do you care about early learning?

I love working with and being around kids. Their boundless curiosity and unique way of seeing the world inspires me to expand my perspective and question my assumptions. They are inherently creative and playful, qualities we adults can learn from. Our early years are among the most formative of our lives.  It’s during this period that we form ideas about ourselves, our community, and the broader world. Education providers have a crucial and-at times- challenging job: to nurture and support a wide range of students, each with different learning needs and home cultures while managing schedules, logistics, and state requirements. So it’s important for support networks such as Early Learning Multnomah at United Way to provide equitable access to early learning along with supplemental learning support. If we can ensure learning environments are positive, inclusive, and culturally relevant to learners, they can develop positive relationships with school and learning. This investment in our youngest community members benefits our entire community.

ELM is dedicated to providing equity and opportunities for children in Multnomah County and our work continues to grow. We are excited to have Annie on the team to support our directors and help expand our reach.
